The statement. Note that if you run this Query within 4 seconds, the auto number will continue to increase. If you try to run a Macro to export more than 1 Queries without waiting for 4 seconds, try the following Sub. Note that the number begins with 2 instead of 1, I believe it is because Access runs the Function before running the Function for the first record in this Datasheet View. If you want the auto number to start with 1 in Datasheet View but it will start with 0 if you export the data , simply replace.

Hello, I am completely new to the Access databases. I really like your code, but is it possible to make it not relating to the date? I have some problems when running iterative code with this code. Click Create query in Design view on right pane. In the Show Table dialog box, select the main table. Click Add and then click Close.

To select the fields, double-click the required fields. Do this for all the fields except for the AutoNumber field in the Table view of the main table. From the Table Name list, select the new table that you created in step 2. Click OK. When you are prompted by the "You are about to paste row s into a new table" message, click Yes to insert the rows. On the File menu, click Close. Click No to close the AppendQuery window.

Click Tables on the left pane. Right-click the new table and then click Design View. In the Design view for the table, add an AutoNumber field with the same field name that you deleted in step 1.

Add this AutoNumber field to the new table, and then save the table. Click the Create tab, and then click Query Design in the Other group.

Click Add , and then click Close.
